India’s men’s and women’s cricket teams are set to light up England’s 2026 summer with a thrilling tour featuring high-stakes white-ball series and a groundbreaking Test match. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that the Indian men’s team will play five T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) from July 1 to 19, while the women’s team will compete in three T20Is and a historic one-off Test at Lord’s, the first-ever women’s Test at the iconic venue.

Indian Men’s Team: Power-Packed White-Ball Clash

Led by Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is and Rohit Sharma in ODIs, the Indian men’s team will kick off their tour with a five-match T20I series from July 1 to 11, 2026, across Durham, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, and Southampton. The action-packed series will be followed by three ODIs from July 14 to 18, culminating at Lord’s Cricket Ground. With stars like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Jasprit Bumrah expected to shine, India aims to dominate England’s formidable white-ball sides, captained by Ben Stokes and Harry Brook.

Indian Women’s Team: Making History at Lord’s

The Indian women’s team, under Harmanpreet Kaur’s leadership and with Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain, will tour England for three T20Is from May 28 to early July, ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 (June 12–July 15). The tour’s highlight is a landmark one-off Test match at Lord’s on July 10, marking the first time a women’s Test will be played at the Home of Cricket. With players like Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma in top form, the Women in Blue are poised to create history.

England’s 2026 Cricket Extravaganza

England’s 2026 summer will be a cricket spectacle, with India’s tours joined by other international fixtures. The men’s team will host New Zealand for three Tests (June 4–25), Pakistan for three Tests (August 19–September 9), and Sri Lanka for three T20Is and three ODIs (September 15–27). The England women’s team, led by Nat Sciver-Brunt, will face New Zealand (three ODIs and three T20Is, May 10–25) and Ireland (three ODIs, September 1–6), alongside hosting the Women’s T20 World Cup.

Why This Tour is a Game-Changer

The 2026 England tour is a defining moment for Indian cricket. For the men’s team, it’s an opportunity to assert dominance in T20Is and ODIs, building on their 2025 Test series performance. For the women’s team, the Lord’s Test is a historic milestone, elevating women’s cricket on a global stage. This tour promises intense India-England rivalry and unforgettable moments for fans.
